PhD / Postdoc position (100%, TV-L 13)

We are looking for a PhD student or a Postdoc to join our group. The position allows for conducting research on a wide range of topics related to optimization and efficient algorithms for machine learning and deep learning. The position comes with a small teaching load of four hours per week, preferably in German.

For both positions, excellent knowledge of machine learning, a solid background in CS and math, and solid programming skills in Python or C++ are mandatory. The desire to conduct and enjoy excellent research and to publish at the leading machine learning conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI) is highly beneficial. While the working language in the group is English, the knowledge of German is a plus.
