Schnupperstudium Informatik 2021

Schülerinnen und Schüler sind herzlich eingeladen, vom 11.-15. Oktober eine Woche lang in ein Informatik Studium hineinzuschnuppern. Dafür bieten wir eine Woche lang ein buntes Programm aus Projektarbeit, Vorlesungen, Gesprächen mit Mitarbeiter/innen und Studierenden sowie spannenden Einblicken in die Welt der Forschung an.

Auch in diesem Jahr bietet der Fachbereich Informatik der Universität Hamburg in Zusammenarbeit mit dem base.camp ein einwöchiges Schnupperstudium für interessierte Schülerinnen und Schüler der 10.-13. Klasse (auch ohne Vorwissen) an. Wir wollen das Fach Informatik vorstellen, bei der Berufswahl unterstützen und den Übergang von der Schule in das Studium erleichtern.

Wegen der aktuellen Corona-Beschränkungen wird das Schnupperstudium 2021 unter Einhaltung der 3G-Regeln stattfinden.

Zum Ablauf:

Das Schnupperstudium findet in der zweiten Herbstferienwoche in Hamburg (11.-15.10.2021) am Informatikum statt. Für die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer werden mehrere Projekte mit Themen aus der Informatik zur Auswahl angeboten. Ein Projekt wird von etwa 6-12 Schülerinnen und Schülern bearbeitet. Zum Ende gibt es eine Abschlusspräsentation, in der die Schüler*innen sich gegenseitig ihre Projekte vorstellen. Dabei wählen die Schüler*innen das interessanteste Projekt zum Sieger.
Informatikkenntnisse werden dabei nicht vorausgesetzt, Interesse an Informatikthemen sollte bei den Schülerinnen und Schülern aber vorhanden sein. Die Schüler*innen sind in der 10. Klasse oder in der Oberstufe (15-18 Jahre alt).

Das Schnupperstudium umfasst neben der Vorstellung des Fachs Informatik:

• die Mitarbeit in einem einwöchigen Informatikprojekt
• die Teilnahme an einer Informatik-Vorlesung
• persönliche Begegnungen mit Lehrenden, Studierenden und berufstätigen Informatikerinnen und Informatikern
• Teilnahme an Projektpräsentationen und Vorführungen

This year again, the Department of Computer Science of the University of Hamburg in cooperation with base.camp offers a one-week trial study for interested students of the 10th-13th grade (even without prior knowledge). We want to introduce the subject of computer science, support career choices and ease the transition from school to university.

Due to the current Corona restrictions, the 2021 trial study will be held in compliance with 3G rules.

About the process:

The trial study will take place during the second week of the autumn holidays in Hamburg (11-15.10.2021) at the Informatikum. Several projects with topics in computer science will be offered for participants to choose from. A project will be worked on by about 6-12 students. At the end, there is a final presentation in which the students present their projects to each other. The students choose the most interesting project as the winner.
Knowledge of computer science is not a prerequisite, but the students should be interested in computer science topics. The students are in the 10th grade or in high school (15-18 years old).

In addition to an introduction to the subject of computer science, the trial study includes

• participation in a one-week computer science project
• participation in a computer science lecture
• personal meetings with teachers, students and working computer scientists
• participation in project presentations and demonstrations
