Historic Development of the ResearchGroup
Since 1988 Prof. Dr. Klaus Brunnstein (*25.5.1937 - +19.05.2015) continuously confronted a stream of students with issues of data protection and IT security. In addition, the international conferences ESORICS 2006 and RAID 2006 were jointly organized and held in Hamburg. Since 2008 Prof. Posegga teaches at the University of Passau.Between 2008 and 2011, the working group was directed by Dr. Klaus-Peter Kossakowski, who acted as stand-in professor.
In April 2011, Prof. Dr. Hannes Federrath took over the researchgroup, after he had led the Department for Management of Information Security at the University of Regensburg for eight years.
