HerCoRe
Hermeneutic and Computer-based Analysis of Reliability, Consistency and Vagueness in Historical Texts
project funded by
April 2017 - March 2020
The project is coducted together with a researcher team from the University of Bucharest (see Team)
The projects investigate how three computer-based methods:
- annotation
- ontological modelling and inference rules
- similarity measurement
can be used in order to peerform hermeneutic investigations on historical texts.
The main focus is on embedding vague and imprecise information in the annotation and interpretation.
The corpus consists of two works (supposed original versions and their translations) of Dimitrie Cantemir ( sec. XVIII)
