Welcome to Distributed Operating Systems!

We research all kinds of distributed systems and their practical applications.
Some of our focuses include:

• Computational Offloading in heterogeneous environments: Our Tasklet system allows us to distribute a computation over several devices. We study how to optimize these distributions based on the properties of the devices and networks.
• Assisting Health Systems: We aim to improve accessibility and health in several aspects using Internet of Things (IoT) and other technologies.
• Smart Cities: Distributed computing plays a large role in sensor networks. Our projects make use of data collected by those, always looking to enhance urban environments.
• Drones: Our latest project takes us to inland ports. Using drones, we create a digital twin through which we can optimize logistical throughput.
