From June 2nd to 5th, we participated in the renowned fair transport logistics in Munich with the InteGreatDrones project. As part of the exhibition presence of the Federal Association of Public Inland Ports (BÖB), we presented our project to a broad professional audience. Additionally, a 90-minute presentation and discussion session allowed us to share our findings and explore possible new applications for our project results in direct exchange with industry experts.
The use of drones in port facilities and the support of port operations through digital twins garnered particular interest over the four days. Discussions with interested parties both at our booth and outside of it highlight the high importance of digitalization and automation in ports and the logistics industry in general. Our joint research with the Computer Vision group on automatic cargo recognition and IoT applications in port operations thus aligns with current trends and offers promising solutions with prospects for industrial application.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the BÖB and SBO for the organization and the opportunity to present our project on this important platform. We look forward to further collaboration and hopefully to more interesting partnerships.
