The base.camp is a creative laboratory of computer science at the University of Hamburg. It serves as an interdisciplinary platform for applied research in the core topics Big Data, Artificial intelligence and Security (BASE). With this focus the lab wants to support digitisation.
The base.campStudent Projects
The Lab is open for any form of student initiative related to the base.camp topics and gladly with interdisciplinary reference to other research fields, departments and faculties of the University of Hamburg and beyond. Everyone is welcome with their ideas!

Events
The base.camp team is also involved in the planning of multiple prospective study courses for young students and girls in particular, as well as science slams and other cross-disciplinary events!

In 2019 the concept of the base.camp creative space was awarded the Claussen-Simon-University-Award during the event „Ausgezeichnet“.
