Next up in our public lecture series is a talk by Prof. Karen Yeung (University of Birmingham). In her lecture she will discuss some of the findings emerging from a Council of Europe study she undertook in 2018-2019 to investigate the implications of advanced digital technologies (including AI systems) for the concept of responsibility within a human rights framework. Karen Yeung is an Interdisciplinary Professorial Fellow in Law, Ethics and Informatics at Birmingham Law School and the University of Birmingham’s School of Computer Science. She is actively involved in several technology policy and related initiatives in the UK and worldwide.
