In discussions about the regulation of AI, as well as in science and society, there is often talk of “human-centred” AI. Nevertheless, many people fear AI that is too human-like, with abilities and emotions similar to our own. In her talk on 8 July 2025, Prof. Dr. Jessica Heesen will explore the various concepts of the human in relation to AI. She will present applications of AI designed to appear human and address issues such as emotional manipulation, expectations of understanding, and data protection. Are human lookalikes a wolf in sheep's clothing?
