Lieke is a PhD candidate and research associate in the Ethics in Information Technology (EIT) research group at the Department of Informatics of the University of Hamburg. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Radboud University Nijmegen) and a Master of Science in Politics, Economics and Philosophy (University of Hamburg). Her research focuses on the concept of AI risk and the relationship between AI and risks in general.
She teaches about the material side of digital technologies and how to conduct ethical assessments of information technologies. Lieke welcomes potential supervisees who wish to write their undergraduate thesis in relation to the above research and teaching topics. She supervises in English and German.
