Mattis Jacobs is a research associate at the chair of Ethics in Information Technology within the Department of Informatics. His research is mainly settled in the Information Governance Technologies project. Mattis has a background in Computer Science and Philosophy (B.A., University of Münster) as well as in Philosophy of Science and Knowledge (M.A., TU Berlin). Before coming to Hamburg, Mattis worked as a Research Assistant and Junior Researcher at the Institute for Futures Studies and Technology Assessment (IZT) in Berlin. Here, he participated in various TA projects for e.g. the Büro für Technikfolgen-Abschätzung beim Deutschen Bundestag (TAB) or the TA-Swiss concerning different aspects of the digitalization.
