The c.t. is the computer science students’ common room. The official room number is Inf 01-741.

Meaning of the term

It is not entirely clear where the term c.t. comes from. There are various theories: some say it stands for cum tempore, others claim it is derived from the magazine c't. Still others say it stands for Cola & Tea. One professor, however, suggested it was an abbreviation for Cognac & Tequila. There is also a story circulating about a computer science student who allegedly lived in the c.t. for weeks and whose name had the initials C.T.

The exact spelling is therefore unknown, but c.t. is usually used.

Drinks

There are two drinks fridges in the c.t. In exchange for a donation to the (broken) trust fund, visitors to the c.t. are permitted to help themselves to the drinks.

If you do not have the exact cash to hand, it is possible to build up a credit balance and track and reduce this at drinks.mafiasi.de. You should avoid running up debts with the (broken) trust fund – you wouldn’t want to have to face the consequences...

Please pay for your drinks, and more importantly, return your deposit; otherwise, we’ll have to increase the recommended donation to make up for the loss, and none of us want that!
