Short Biography
Christian Burkert is a research associate in the Security and Privacy research group at University of Hamburg since November 2016. He holds a diploma in computer science from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). From August 2014 to October 2016 he worked as a privacy engineer and consultant for praemandatum GmbH, Hannover.
Research Projects
Christian coordinates the EMPRI-DEVOPS research project which involves two universities, a data protection agency and two SMEs. It is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Christian contributes to the project by analysing the collection and processing of personal data by DevOps tools, the privacy risks arising from such collections, and practical approaches for a more data minimal software design.
