Short Biography
Sascha Löbner is a researcher in security and privacy. Since 2026, he is a researcher in the working group Security in Distributed Systems at the University of Hamburg, Department of Computer Science. Since 2020, he has been pursuing a PhD at Goethe University Frankfurt at the Chair of Mobile Business and Multilateral Security, submitted in July 2025. He holds an M.Sc. in Business Informatics and a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from Goethe University Frankfurt. His research focuses on human-centered security and privacy in AI systems, including privacy-preserving machine learning, de-identification, with applications to intrusion detection for IoT devices in smart homes and critical infrastructure.
