Short Biography
Maryam is a postdoctoral researcher in the Security in Distributed Systems group at the University of Hamburg, Department of Computer Science. Her research lies at the intersection of theoretical and applied cryptography, with a particular focus on privacy and verifiability. She is especially interested in designing systems that use efficient cryptographic protocols and ensure both privacy and verifiability.
From 2024 to 2025, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of IT Security at the Brandenburg University of Technology. Prior to that, she worked as postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Information Security and Trust (CISAT) at the IT University of Copenhagen from 2021 to 2023. Between 2019 and 2021, she held a postdoctoral position at the Institute of Applied Mathematics (IAM) at the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey.
