EIT Christmas Lecture: Rethinking the Ethics of Communication

In co-operation with the public lecture series of Philosphisches Seminar we invited Professor Onora O'Neill as guest speaker on 18th December 2018. She is emeritus Professor at the University of Cambridge and one of the world’s most distinguished moral philosophers, having published widely on political philosophy and ethics, international justice, bioethics and Kant.

In 2016 she was awarded the Knight Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Grosses Bundesverdienstkreuz) and in 2017 two of the most prestigious international prizes in the humanities: the Holberg and Berggruen prizes. Professor O’Neill is a life-peer and cross-bench member of the UK House of Lords. She is currently President of the Society for Applied Philosophy.
