The HCI group has a mailing list (MCI-News) which is used for announcements and relevant news. Guests are welcome to subscribe. There is a web interface, or it is possible via <mci-news-join"AT"informatik.uni-hamburg.de>.
DIRECTIONS
The HCI group is situated on the ground floor of building F on the Informatikum campus (Location maps). From the Informatikum campus entrance, walk straight ahead until you are near a roofed overpass connecting two buildings. Enter the tall building on your right. Walk straight past the staircase, and you should be entering the HCI area. From there, you can turn right and walk down a corridor for the main HCI laboratory, or you can find our staff by their respective room numbers. If you let us know ahead of time, we'll gladly meet you at the door.
Reach us by plane: The closest airport is Hamburg Airport (IATA: HAM, ICAO: EDDH). From there, you have direct access to public transportation (Hamburg S-Bahn) as well as taxi services and car rentals.
Reach us by car/taxi: The street address of the Informatikum campus is Vogt-Kölln-Straße 30, D-22527 Hamburg. It is easily reached via the Autobahn A7 if you are arriving from the north, south or west. If you are arriving from the east, we recommend circumventing the city centre around the northern side. Free parking is available to visitors on the Informatikum campus. Feel free to ask the gatekeeper for assistance.
Reach us by public transportation: The closest subway station is Hagenbecks Tierpark (line U2). From Hamburg Central Station, take the U2 line going to Niendorf (direction: north) and exit at Hagenbecks Tierpark. From there, the Informatikum campus is within 15 minutes walking distance. You can also take the bus, line 181 (towards Eidelstädter Platz or Jaarsmoor) or 281 (towards Eidelstädter Platz or Krupunder), going just 3 or 2 stations respectively. Refer to the HVV website for detailed information about public transportation opportunities in Hamburg.
