On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, IRISA will host experts in computer science research throughout the year 2025 as part of its "Guests of the Month" series. To inaugurate this series, Frank Steinicke will give a lecture on March 6, ahead of IEEE VR 2025 in Saint-Malo.
His talk will be entitled: Is XR Winter Coming? Bridging between Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality
In 2025, IRISA, one of France's oldest and largest computer science research laboratories, will be blowing out its 50 candles. This anniversary highlights half a century of innovation, discoveries and major contributions to science and society.
Founded in 1975, IRISA today brings together more than 800 men and women, uniting their efforts to push the boundaries of knowledge in multiple fields of computer science. Internationally recognized, the institute plays a major role in the digital transition of our society, relying on the dedication of its teams and the richness of its multidisciplinary approach.
Throughout the year, a series of events and festivities will celebrate the values and achievements that define IRISA.
