The mint:pink program (https://www.nat.hamburg/angebote/programme/mint-pink) aims to get girls interested in STEM subjects at an early age with visits to companies and research institutions where they have the opportunity to try things out and talk to female researchers, engineers, and scientists.
On April 25th, female students from Matthias-Claudius-Gymnasium visited us through the mint:pink programme to learn more about our interdisciplinary bachelor's degree program in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and get practical insights in our HCI lab where they tried out different virtual reality, multitouch display, and CAVE applications from our research and student projects. Further, we answered questions about studying HCI and provided information about the different courses and job opportunities.
