PuttView aims at fundamentally changing the way Golf is being taught and learned by introducing Augmented Reality technology to the sport. In order to significantly enhance Putting Practice, the system calculates the ideal putting line in real time and displays it directly on the green by means of a projector (PuttView Indoor). The coach controls and configures PuttView for his students with a tablet application that serves to remote control the visualization by PuttView. The first system has recently been installed at Golf Lounge in Hamburg, which is one of the partners within the exclusive pilot customer program PuttView has launched earlier this year. The pilot customer program will be completed soon and additional systems are to be installed from October 2016 onwards. The two founders of Viewlicity GmbH, Christoph Pregizer and Lukas Posniak, also envision to bring PuttView to real golf courses outdoors (PuttView Outdoor) by using Augmented Reality Glasses to display the ideal putting line and further relevant information. PuttView Outdoor will be the very first Application for Augmented Reality Glasses in Golf. PuttView was developed in close collaboration with Prof. Dr. Frank Steinicke from Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Hamburg.
