Short Bio
Manuela Uhr works as a research associate since April 2017 at the Human-Computer Interaction Group of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Hamburg. She finished her Bachelor's degree in Digital Media at the University of Bremen. With her master's thesis about 'Mobile VR Interaction Design' and 3D interfaces in the limited technology of smartphone based virtual reality, she finished her Master's degree in game studies in 2016 at the HAW Hamburg. After several months working at Workplace Solutions Hamburg, she's now part of iPlanB, a cooperative research project of the University of Hamburg and the former company. iPlanB focuses on improving traffic flow and construction site planning for the city of Hamburg with new technologies. Working together on a software for collaborative decision-making processes, Manuela Uhr focuses on ergonomic interaction design on large tabletops and in virtual/augmented reality for workplace environments.
