Last Friday, we visited the bus depot Alsterdorf as part of the Data-driven Optimization of Electronic Bus Operations (D2eBus) project.
It is impressive to see how the e-bus project of Hamburger Hochbahn AG is being conducted and how the depot is adjusted to manage e-buses, which is now almost complete. The project is thus making its contribution to sustainable mobility and the expansion of public transport, from which we all benefit in Hamburg.
As part of the D2eBus project, we are researching AI-based prediction of e-bus ranges in cooperation with HOCHBAHN (Johanna and Felix), looking at requirements, and developing a prototype. It's encouraging to see the potential of this and for what AI can be used.
Thanks to Felix for the exciting tour and presentation and the support of Hamburg Innovation GmbH. Eva, Jan, Enrico, and I (Marten) are looking forward to further collaboration and our next meeting:
