base.camp at Sommer des Wissens

On Sunday 23.06.2019 the base.camp was represented at the town hall market as part of the Sommer des Wissens.
As part of the Network of Labs, consisting of base.camp (UHH), CSTI (HAW), CSL (Hafencity University) and Things@TUHHLab (TUHH), Björn Schmidt and Eugen Ruppert presented the base.camp.
Current base.camp projects were presented to interested visitors. An exhibition exhibit was made for this purpose. In addition to several videos of current projects and small giveaways, visitors also had the opportunity to try out prototypes themselves, such as an automatic animal recognition system. A demo with cuddly toys can be found at the base.camp demos.
In beautiful weather, numerous Hamburg residents and tourists were introduced to the goals and project areas of the Creative Space of computer science.
The base.camp would like to thank ahoi.digital for the great organisation and especially Janis-Marie Paul for the active support and the smooth coordination during the whole day.
