Improving sensor networks with on-bicycle mobile nodes

This project aims to increase the geo-spatial resolution in environmental sensor networks using a mobile sensor kit. Within this work, the kit will be built and the data quality validated against existing public and official measuring networks. In the experiment, the sensor is mounted to a bicycle and particulate matter concentration data collected. The goal is to supplement existing networks with micro-climate data, enable more citizens to participate in citizen science projects and improve decision making with actual exposure data.
