2 April 2026, by FSR Informatik
Dear Student Council,
Let’s start with the dates for April:
Wed 8 Apr, 4–6 pm in Seminar Room 5.5
OE Founding Meeting (for more info: join.oeinf.de)
Wed 15 April, 12–2 pm in Geom H2
Computer Science General Assembly
CHANGE OF VENUE: contrary to what was announced, the General Assembly will take place in the Geomatikum!
Furthermore, the dates for the weekly, open FSR meetings are now available; you are always warmly invited to attend.
Student Council meetings will take place from next week onwards, on Wednesdays in even calendar weeks and on Thursdays in odd calendar weeks, at 6 pm in room 01-643 in person and, if registered, also hybrid via Discord. If this is confusing, subscribe to the Student Council calendar [0], where all dates are listed.
The new building has been open to you as normal since the start of the month, but please note that construction and relocation work is still taking place, so please be considerate of the people working there. Just in time for the start of the semester, however, we had our first instance of water damage in the new building yesterday morning, leaving half the building without power.
You’ve no doubt noticed that some courses in STiNE have changed rooms (if not, be sure to check again to see if your courses are affected). This was actually planned, as the technical equipment isn’t yet available in all rooms due to delivery issues, but the water damage may now potentially cause delays. Please be patient; the Student Office is doing its best! As soon as the individual rooms are ‘ready’, the courses in STiNE will be rescheduled.
What is currently still uncertain – due to the water damage – is when the pool rooms will be able to open, so keep your eyes, ears and, above all, your email inboxes open next week.
Unfortunately, the c.t. (01-741) is not yet open; there is still some moving work to be done there. You will be notified as soon as this changes.
Please also bear with us as the fridges are currently still empty; we hope that by the VV at the latest, everything will be back to how you know and love it.
As things stand, the new buildings are open for you Mon–Fri from 6 am to 10 pm, and the MIN Forum is also open on Saturdays from 8 am to 4 pm.
We have raised concerns about these significantly reduced opening hours and are currently looking into whether anything can be done about this.
We wish you a Happy Easter and look forward to the coming summer semester with you!
