Course and Paper at SIGGRAPH

Together with researchers from Facebook Reality Labs, NVIDIA, Stanford University and the University of California at Berkeley, Prof. Dr. Frank Steinicke will provide a course about applications of vision science to virtual and augmented reality. The course will take place on Monday, 13 August 2018. 2pm - 5:15pm in the West Building, Room 301-305, Vancouver Convention Centre. If you plan to attend ACM SIGGRAPH 2018, feel free to stop by. Furthermore, Eike Langbehn is presenting our work in the technical paper session "Interaction / VR“. The paper is entitled "In the Blink of an Eye: Leveraging Blink-Induced Suppression for Imperceptible Position and Orientation Redirection in Virtual Reality." The paper was co-auhored by Frank Steinicke (Universität Hamburg), Markus Lappe (Universität Münster), Gregory F. Welch and Gerd Bruder (University of Central Florida). The paper has been covered by the US press, for example, here and here.
