This semester, our Interactive Game Development course at the University of Hamburg took on a meaningful challenge. Guided by the theme "Games for a Sustainable Future", dedicated master’s students worked to develop eight innovative games aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
The games focused on:
- Goal 3: good health and wellbeing,
- Goal 6: clean water and sanitation,
- Goal 12: responsible consumption and production,
- Goal 13: climate action,
- Goal 14: life below water, and
- Goal 15: life on land.
Through these playful and impactful creations, our students hope to raise awareness and encourage action. They hope to show that we can make a difference in creating a brighter and more sustainable world through the world of games.
Check out their excellent work in the trailer below!
We thank everyone who participated in this year’s Interactive Game Development course!
