Long-Term VR
With current VR technology trends such as Sony’s project Morpheus, AntVR by AntVR Technology, the Oculus Rift HMD, Microsoft HoloLens as well as the Microsoft Kinect, or Leap Motion tracking devices, it becomes obvious that soon more and more people will spend a significant amount of their time particularly for communication or entertainment in IVEs. But how will such a virtual revolution change the way we live as humans in a digital world?
In this project we examine these futuristic visions of VR and provide an in-depth look into as well as a critical discussion of these questions based on our current understanding of IVEs.
