Super-Natural User Interfaces
We explore (super-)natural forms of interaction to seamlessly couple the space where the flat 2D digital world meets the three dimensions we live in. These concepts are based on natural interaction paradigms such as walking, touching, grabbing, or speaking. Children start to learn these actions already at an age of 1 year. Furthermore, it has been shown that the infant brain comes equiepped with a basic understanding of physics, so-called naive physics. Our natural interaction concepts are based on such naive physics, but are not limited to real-world physics.
Hence, users can naturally walk in the VE without real-world limits, they can naturally interact with remote objects, or they can virtually fly through the virtual environment.
