“How Green are We?” - Student Project Funded by University of Hamburg

Daniel Speck and Zeynep Seda Birinci, students of the MSc program Intelligent Adaptive Systems (IAS), got their project “How green are we?” accepted by the ISA center (Center of Interdisciplinary Studies of University of Hamburg), which organizes research projects through the University of Excellence initiatives for students.
The project points out the importance of green area development in the course of climate change by detecting trees on aerial imagery of Hamburg with the help of artificial intelligence. The proposal was accepted and the project will be funded with 8.000 Eur for hardware, research, and conference expenses. Congratulations to Daniel Speck, Zeynep Seda Birinci, and staff involved!
