RTL Television visit at Knowledge Technology

German National TV (RTL Nachtjournal) visited the Knowledge Technology group to interview Prof. Wermter, Dr. Kerzel and Dipl-Ing. Erik Strahl on a report about the use of AI, Neural networks and the framework Tensorflow. RTL featured our robot Nico which the knowledge technology group has trained in an initial version to learn to recognise sounds and speech in addition to recognise objects and grasping them. Furthermore, RTL showed in the report that AI and Neural networks are also successfully used in ecological projects to detect and locate the sound in order to prevent illegal tree clearing in rainforests.
