The Hamburg Network of Labs of ahoi.digital organizes on August 31st with the Digital Science Night an event for students and interested visitors.
On August 31st there will be a vernissage with a concert and a party afterwards in Café Entenwerder 1 from 16:00. The Digital Science Night is the conclusion of a two-day hackathon "Häcks on the Beach". The focus is on the question of how and for what purpose sensors on a pontoon on the Elbe can be used. What you can learn about current speeds, where the Elbe flows the fastest, the wind whistles the sharpest or the fine dust pollution is the lowest. And whether this can best be understood as a sound event, in flow charts or as a digital sculpture. With this workshop, the Creative Labs of Hamburg's universities (UHH, HAW, TUHH and HCU) want to give participants the opportunity to work on projects in an interdisciplinary, experimental and prototypical way and simply try out ideas. All prototypes that have been realized will be presented in an exhibition. Besides the prototypes, the exhibition shows works from past research projects of the four organising laboratories. In cooperation with the University of Music and Theatre, small man-machine concerts will be performed from 7 pm. Later, the bar will be open for talks and drinks.
