Introduction
In January 2019, the XR Lab was an official jam site for the Global Game Jam. This year's topic was Home and we built a game about housekeeping in which you have to hurry with your chores in order to have as much free time as possible. Requirements: HTC Vive + PC + lying on the floor at game start.

The virtual environment that we built
Gameplay
At the start of the game you are woken up by an annoying alarm clock. As soon as you get up and push the stop button the real game begins: The screen turns grey and your wristwatch starts ticking – now you have to do work in the form of minigames in order to earn leisure time. You play a total of 12, each lasting 60 ingame minutes (20 s). The task at hand is indicated by a pink arrow and the longer you need to complete it, the louder the ticking will become. Upon completion, the colors return to your room and a jolly tune sets in: You have earned leisure time until the next task begins, so spend it as you like. Maybe eat an apple or read a book? Or maybe take a walk outside?
When 12 ingame hours have passed the game ends with your going back to bed.

Minigames
- Watering the plant
While you might think that any plant will drown if it's being watered several times a day, this plant thrives on it. It's a very thirsty one. - Washing laundry
Take your dirty laundry out of the laundry basket and put it in the washing machine. Then turn the switch on. It might suffice to simply turn the switch to earn the leisure time. But we didn't tell you that. - Hanging up laundry
Take the clean laundry out and hang it on the clothesline. If for whatever reason there's no clean laundry waiting for you to hang it up, just hang up some not so dirty laundry from the hamper. No one will know.
Other minigames that we had planned include cooking and sweeping the floor. A stove and a broom are already there, but we lacked the time to build the games.
