BMBF funds BIMDANUBE project
In this project, we will establish new network of excellence on biomedical information management among the Danube States. The objective of the network is to strengthen collaboration among innovative ICT institutions and SMEs of the region, in accordance with the goals of the EU Horizon 2020 ICT agenda. The network is going to serve as a research infrastructure for cutting-edge projects related to biomedical information management.
Within this initiative we are going to (1) organize two workshops on the current and future information management in the biomedical domain, (2) conduct a feasibility study on a novel bottom-up approach to information management and (3) prepare an EU grant proposal to sustain the network.
The etwork of excellence, comprised of key players in the Danube states in the field of knowledge management and medical practice is sustained by two workshop events, targets formalization and sharing of information encoded in the ubiquitous unstructured documents in the medical domain in a novel and original way by adopting a data-driven, bottom-up, problem-centric approach.
