Three new research projects

SWK receives funding for three new research projects.

We are happy that three research proposals have been accepted and rewarded with external funding:

• SustainKieker (Sustaining a Reusable High-Quality Monitoring Framework for Software Engineering Research) is a collaboration with Kiel University to advance the application-level monitoring tool Kieker. The project aims to contribute to the field of research software engineering and is sponsored by DFG from 2024 to 2027.
• For CQ4CD (Continuous Quality Control for Continuous Delivery Architectures – Systematic Engineering of Performance, Reliability, and Resilience) we collaborate with University of Vienna to develop the foundations of performance, reliability, and resilience engineering for continuous delivery architectures. The project is funded by the German DFG and the Austrian FWF from 2024 to 2027.
• Futhermore, we join the Software Campus (sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research BMBF from 2024 to 2026) with our project "A Guide to the Sustainable Introduction of Technical Debt Management by Increasing and Maintaining Awareness." The project aims to analyze how active management of technical debt can be introduced in industrial settings. Additionally it develops and evaluates measures to increase awareness for technical debt permanently.
