About us

Who We Are

The Informatics Library is the scientific information center of the Department of Informatics at the University of Hamburg.
As a library for lending and a place of learning, we support students and members of the Department of Computer Science in their studies, research and teaching with our offers and services. As part of the University of Hamburg library system, the Informatics Library is also available to external users.

What We Offer

Our primary goal is to provide optimal access to knowledge and expert information. When using the library, we support users with appropriate and appropriate advice and training.
We offer group and individual workplaces for concentrated work. We provide a pleasant and well-equipped working environment, which also includes a small lounge area and a terrace.

Our users are at the center of our work.
We are working to maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive library collection and to continuously improve the performance and services offered by our library. Within the financial resources provided to us, we are open-minded to new developments

We meet the challenges of our field of work through regular further training, participation in specialist conferences, professional exchange and cooperation with other libraries in Hamburg.
