Fine Rates

The fees are based on the "Gebührenordnung der Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Hamburg Carl von Ossietzky" (German only) in the valid version.

 

Via your library account (Katalogplus), you can keep track of the expiry dates for borrowed items. If the loan period is exceeded, an extension may be possible via the loan desk of the Informatics Library(infbib-ausleihe.inf"AT"uni-hamburg.de) (Tel. 040 - 42883 2215). 

If you exceed the expiry date, overdue notices will be sent. The fees is charged per item and reminder:

• from the first day of overdue: €1
• at the end of the first week: €2 additionally
• at the end of the second week: €5 additionally
• at the end of the fourth week: €10 additionally

The maximum fee per item will be €18.

Your library account will be blocked for all activities if

• you are reminded the third time for an overdue book
  and/or
• your fees exceed €10.
