In short webinars (in German) we offer students of the Department of Informatics useful knowledge about the library. This series is repeated and expanded regularly.

Guided Tours
You are a student at the Department of Informatics and have never been to the Informatics Library? We will introduce you to the services offered by the library and answer questions about borrowing media. Appointment on request(infbib-information.inf"AT"uni-hamburg.de).
- Prerequisites: None
- Course Content: You will be introduced to the use of the relevant library catalogues and practise how to research media. You will learn how to get access to licenced e-media. You will get to know the premises and the services of the Informatics Library.
- Course Duration: 30 - 45 minutes
- Number of participants: At least 5, max. 10

Research Courses
Would you like to learn about retrieval strategies in library catalogues and how to search information efficiently? Then attend a research course! Appointment on request(infbib-information.inf"AT"uni-hamburg.de).
- Target group: Bachelor and Master Students of the Department of Informatics
- Prerequisites: None
- Language: English
- Content: You will get an overview of the library's media offerings (including e-books, e-journals, research databases) as well as the methodology of research. You will learn how to get quick access to required media - print and online. In the excursus "How to interpret references" you will learn the differences between books and articles.
- Course Duration: 60 - 90 minutes
