Loan periods

Media can be borrowed for 4 weeks.

3 days before the loan period expires, you will receive an e-mail reminding you to return or renew your item on time. Please remember to update your e-mail address in your library account if necessary. If the loan period is exceeded, successively increasing late fees will be charged for each item and each week or part thereof.

You can access your library account via a corresponding link in the Campus Catalogue. Or you can log in to Katalogplus with your library card and gain access via the link My Account.

Renewals

If your borrowed items have not been reserved by another person, you can renew them via your library account before the loan period expires.

You can extend the loan period 3 times for a further 4 weeks. Please note that the loan period is extended by 4 weeks from the day of the extension - not from the end of the loan period!

If you are unable to renew your borrowed items online, please contact the loan desk at the Informatics Library: by telephone on 040 42883-2215 or by e-mail(infbib-ausleihe.inf"AT"uni-hamburg.de). In many cases a (further) renewal is possible directly via the circulation desk.

Returning items

Items borrowed from the Informatics Library can only be returned there. It is also possible to return items by post. However, you are responsible in the event of loss.
