Knowledge exchange
For the transfer of knowledge and research results to society, companies, public administration, and interested citizens can collaborate with the working groups of the Department of Informatics in various forms. In this context, we consider both knowledge transfer and technology transfer. On the indicated pages, you can use filters to search by topics and areas of expertise, as well as by industries and formats.
Core activities include facilitating research collaborations between academia and industry, designing suitable project proposals for relevant funding bodies, carrying out a wide range of educational offerings, supporting research collaboration projects—including contract design—or assisting with patenting research results and licensing.

Another focus of our technology transfer activities is supporting Start-ups. The main emphasis of our cooperation with founders from the field of computer science is on professional collaboration. In addition, we provide support during the start-up phase by facilitating contacts in the areas of funding, financing, patenting, or rental space.
