Titel der Dissertation:
Acquiring Architecture Knowledge for Technology Design Decisions

Abstract:
Software architecture is concerned with taking principal design decisions. To support soft-ware engineers, we investigate how to acquire software architectural knowledge to take design decisions. We conducted interviews with practitioners and analysed Stackoverflow posts to explore architecture knowledge ontology in developer communities. Using the discovered semantics, we enhanced search approaches with methods from machine learn-ing to improve the effectiveness of finding software architectural information. The propo-sed solutions are evaluated by experienced software engineers.
