Titel der Dissertation:
Performance Optimization of Atmospheric Model ECHAM6 through Component Concurrency
The atmospheric model ECHAM6 suffers from poor scalability at low resolution, due to the limited number of grid points. In response, this dissertation reports on a research effort that benefits from the idea of component concurrency in order to optimize the model. In addition, it describes a static program analysis approach, called Component Isolation, in support of the required implementation. This approach is augmented with the Fortran Component Extractor (FCE) toolbox to expedite the process.
