Titel der Dissertation: Mining and Understanding Issue Links Towards a Better Issue Management

This thesis studies issue links in issue trackers from 16 software organizations. We show the complexity and heterogeneity of link types and that research should not only focus on duplication links and their prediction. We also show the importance of data quality, concerning links and issue data. We propose a BERT model that outperforms the state-of-the-art to predict issue links and their types reliably. We also propose a software framework for overviewing the issue tracker health, visualizing the issue link networks, and recommending relevant links.
