Titel der Dissertation: Methods for Enhanced Security Monitoring and APT Detection in Enterprise Networks

Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) are complex attacks by sophisticated adversaries that specifically target large organizations and governments. This dissertation presents five contributions that improve the detection capabilities of defenders ranging from increased visibility on event-level across up to a novel reconstruction algorithm that helps analysts to reveal potential APT campaigns as they happen. The approaches help to speed up and increase the accuracy of the APT detection process.
