Titel der Dissertation: A Distributed Service Platform for Managing Streaming Data in Smart Cities

As the concept of smart cities shift from technology-driven to citizen-focused approaches, urban participation becomes vital. This dissertation proposes a citizen-centric data space leveraging distributed IT services to make data from privately owned sensors available to smart city services. Challenges such as discovering data sources, distributed privacy-preserving preprocessing, and sensor placement detection are explored, advancing privacy-sensitive and resource-efficient urban development.
