Titel der Dissertation: Utilizing Architecture Maintainability Smells to Identify and Prioritize Large Refactoring Opportunities

Maintainability is often neglected in large software systems, leading to architectural technical debt (ATD). This thesis consolidates 561 architecture maintainability smell names into a knowledge base including detection strategies and impact, and distills them into 19 essential smells with characteristics and refactoring strategies. A decision framework helps prioritize refactoring based on system impact and project goals..
