On November 28, 2023, Prof. Kathleen A. Creel will talk about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for decision making in job hiring processes and argue that it is wrong to allow the quirks of an algorithmic system to consistently exclude a small number of people from consequential opportunities, and she will suggest solutions that can help ameliorate the harm to individuals.
