Participation in CHI 2023
28. April 2023, von Prof. Dr. Eva Bittner
This year, two of our group members, Daria Soroko and Izabel Cvetkovic, had the pleasure to take part in the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems 2023 in Hamburg, Germany. CHI is one of the largest international venues pertaining to all aspects of interdisciplinary research in human-computer interaction (HCI). In this year's edition, we saw a lot of interest in and emphasis on generative AI, especially large language models (LLMs), as well as broader human-AI interaction, which has been among the fastest growing areas in recent years. One of the highlights for us was also the workshop on Privacy Interventions and Education (PIE). We thoroughly enjoyed the active and fruitful discussions and are looking forward to working in close collaboration with our colleagues in the field of user/data privacy and education.
Overall, we would like to thank the conference organizers, guests and attendees for making CHI 2023 a success! And we are looking forward to the next year's CHI 2024 event in Honolulu Hawai'i.
