For a better performance a virtualization was set aside. Only part of the services were activated. The Informatik-RZ installs missing software and functionality, e. g. to parallel computing on demand. In case of suggestions please contact early. Beside the usual linuxpool software equipment users frequently uses Matlab and Povray.
The systems are suited with 24/7 service particularly for arithmetic-intensive processes (long-running transactions). Please arrange special demands for the availability with the operating so that maintenance time (reboot) can be arranged.
Currently there are no access restrictions enforced by the system and it is assumed that users behave responsibly and resource-conscious. For restricted time hard disks can be made available to users locally.
