User accounts for guests

Due to the not yet unified user IDs in different parts of the university it must be checked in advance according to your needs and application scenarios whether for you as guests of the Department of Informatics an Regional Computer Centre (RCC) or Informatics (IRZ) guest account makes sense.

RCC guest account

For Guests requiring from their personal mobile device, only web access and HTTP, mail, VPN or SSH connection to their "home" institution, it is possible, by means of guest identifiers of the RCC Gastkennungen des RRZ to use the GUEST-WLAN of the UHH  (up to 14 days, request about 1 week in advance by Uni-employee).

It is also possible to log in the Eduroam-WLAN if the home institution is part of the Eduroam compound.

Informatics guest account

If you are a guest of the Department of Informatics , an external participant of workshops, internships, etc., and your attendance is limited to a maximum period of two weeks, a temporary user id can be set up (for this very period) at the request. This enables you in addition to access in the computer labs also to access the Informatics network (VPN) via UHH-WLAN.
